Under the Mouse Properties section, go to the Pointer Options tab.Click on Hardware and Sound > Click on Mouse under Devices and Printers.By disabling the mouse acceleration feature, you’ll be able to fix multiple issues with the in-game mouse cursor moving as well as the precision pointer. I'm wondering if the game will allow any sort of LAN play.If the mouse acceleration feature is enabled by default on your Windows computer no matter whether you’re using Windows 10 or Windows 11, make sure to manually turn it off by following the steps below. Since you can't run dedicated servers without connecting to the internet, will they at least allow listen servers for LAN? I'm wondering if the game will allow any sort of LAN play. Yea, it's different from MW2, but the difference is not heaven and earth like some people expected. Not that much of a difference reallyĮven the dedicated server are somewhat limited considering they won't release public files for the servers and our only options will be to play on ranked servers, where certain CVARS are usually hardcoded to standardize the game experience. Bad Company 2 is 6 weeks from release at the moment, and less than 2 weeks from public beta where all this would become obvious anyway. This is because there is an obvious disparity in the reactions that PC gamers are having, which was the only thing I wished to highlight.Īs for the timing of the news, the MW2 news broke about 4 weeks before it's release. I notice you didn't actually disagree with anything I wrote. But the fact is, PC gamers complained about every single thing I mentioned. If the whining had been specifically about dedicated servers, then you'd have a point. I only play on ranked servers anyway, so this won't affect me. PC Gamers : No problem, Battlefield games never really had mods anyway (because I haven't heard of Forgotten Hope/Project Reality and even Desert Combat). The only reason I play games on the PC is because I want flexibility and control and they are killing the modding community which has kept PC gaming alive for years.ĭICE : No mod tools/custom maps in the game. PC Gamers : This is a slap in the face of PC gamers! OMG way to kill the community! The game will be stillborn. Infinity Ward : No mod tools/custom maps in the game. This has nothing to do with dolphin diving, no sir! FPS games 10 years ago had prone? Who cares. They tested it and found the gameplay was not balanced for going prone!. Obviously they must know what they're doing by removing prone because they promised they would take care of the PC version. They are killing their franchise by doing this!! Even FPS games that came out 10 years ago had lean. PC Gamers : Wow, a PC game without lean? How could they even think of doing that? I am completely incapable of playing an FPS without leaning around walls. ![]() I don't mind it, since not many games have a console these days anyway. Anything they do to prevent cheats is good. PC gamers use the console all the time to tweak settings to perfection. Oh look there are so many cheats in your game, just like we said there would be haha. ![]() PC gamers : OMG are you fucking crazy? Your game is going to get hacked anyways. Now, yeah we haven't seen any of the PC version yet, but with the PS3 version in mind, damn if this doesn't absolutely rock. The Alpha code PS3 beta was in better overall condition (save for a bug that would randomnly swap the knife and weapons change buttons) than BF2 ever was, except maybe in its last two patches or so and we all still managed to have a blast with BF2. Hey guys remember when BF2 shipped and was such a huge pile of shit that it would show teamates as enemies and enemies as teamates?-and then it took them like 3 patches to completely fix just that issue! Yes, people will still try to mod it, the console isn't in there because it ain't. And as for its other uses, well modding isn't supposed to happen with this game. As I see it, lack of a command console should be assumed for a modern multi-player game. usability settings, limitations, bugs, and all. MP gaming is a bunch of people competing under roughly the same parameters. In multiplayer games you're not supposed to be allowed extra control over things that other people may or may not know about.
